World Kindness Day from Arwachin Public School’s Perspective

The world today is so fast-paced that nobody has the time or patience to even speak to another human being. We are more focused on a well-settled future, a better standard of living and the list goes on; having no energy or patience to deal with the present day hustle. Words of kindness are long gone,  leave alone kind deeds.

Patience is a virtue but kindness is a way of life. Only through kindness, can you gain inner peace. That lovely smile on another human’s face, because of your kind words, can bring you happiness like none other.

Every year on the 13th of November, the entire world celebrates World Kindness Day. This day is significant as it helps people realize the benefits of good deeds and the overall satisfaction of helping and being humble towards another person.

This day was first celebrated in the year 1998 as the World Kindness Movement. Till today, many Nations, including India, follow this day and pledge to become nurturing citizens of the country.

Kindness makes the world a better place

This world is already filled with so much evil. Murders, extortion and so many hurtful events occur on a day to day basis. To make this world a little better,  teach your kids to be kind. Kindness heals all wounds. Help them realize they can change a person’s life with the kind and thoughtful words.

A smile goes a long way

We tell our kids, ‘Don’t smile at strangers’. But that one warm smile can do wonders. It can mend even the dirtiest of souls. That pleasant smile on your child’s face could change bad thoughts in the onlooker’s mind.

Use the three golden words

Please, sorry and thank you are golden words of the English vocabulary and for good reason. These three words when used properly can bring a huge difference to how you speak. It can make you a polite speaker. Teach your kids to use them every day. Acknowledge another person’s gesture with these words. Nobody is bound to do favours for someone else, but, when they do, make that favour meaningful.

Kindness is a language

As the popular quote goes,  ‘Kindness is a language that the deaf can hear and the blind can see’. Kindness is a universal language. People may not be able to interpret correctly the spoken word all the time but one good act could become an everlasting memory. Teach your kids that their act of kindness can have a positive impact on every person. They can help better another’s life.

People deserve love

Situations change people, but a loving thought or word can mend the hardest of hearts. Teach your children to love and take care of everyone around them.
